Academics

Common curriculum and assessment provide a meaningful and useful measurement of student achievement. The Curriculum and Instruction Department provides oversight and guidance to ensure reliable data on student performance in the classroom, timely feedback, and the process for continuous improvement. There are more than 300 individual courses, as well as programs for students with special needs. In addition to more than 30 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and about 20 dual credit courses, the District offers select interdepartmental courses and work-study opportunities.

There are four nine-week quarters in each school year. The school day is divided into nine, 42-minute periods. Laboratory classes meet twice a week for an additional 42 minutes. The school day starts at 8:10am and ends at 3:23pm. Visit the school sites for details about their Bell Schedules.
