D219 Strategic Planning 2025-2030
D219 is committed to providing Clear Paths, Bright Futures, and No Limits for all students. As part of this work, D219 is creating a new strategic plan that will guide and influence the district’s decisions over the next five years.
The plan is student-centered, community-driven, and will define and strengthen the district’s initiatives to provide a clear path forward.
The Plan
Through a comprehensive review of the current strategic plan, a D219 working committee is facilitating a process to establish a clear direction for the district. D219 is partnering with District Management Group (DMGroup), an education consulting organization, to identify practical and meaningful actions.
As a consulting partner, DMGroup supports the District in two key areas:
- Development of the District Strategic Plan – A comprehensive roadmap to position D219 for greater success in achieving student outcomes
- Special Education Opportunity Review – An in-depth analysis to enhance D219 support systems and services for students with special needs.

We have heard from students, parents and families, staff and community members. Feedback gathered from the September 2025 survey and the January 2026 survey, along with focus groups and interviews, has helped shape the draft of the plan.
The draft of the D219 Strategic Plan, including the priorities, was presented at the Board of Education meeting on January 13, 2026. D219 is gathering feedback from the January 2026 community survey.
Next Steps
The D219 Board of Education will review the final draft of the Strategic plan at its February 3, 2026 meeting at 7:30 pm. Board meetings are livestreamed on YouTube.
