NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants), the largest global not-for-profit music trade organization, has recognized Niles West High School with the Support Music Merit Award (SMMA) as part of its 2025 Best Communities for Music Education program.

Awardees were selected through a rigorous application and review process. The data analysis for all applications was conducted by an independent research and evaluation firm specializing in education and the arts.

The SMMA honors individual schools that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students. Niles West is among a select group of schools nationwide to receive this distinction.
