District 219 student-athletes earned multiple awards while competing in Special Olympics events in March 2026.

The gymnastics team competed at a regional meet at Palatine High School, bringing home several medals for the district. Three athletes also competed in the state basketball skills tournament in Normal, Illinois. Niles West student Eden Davis placed first in her division, while Bridges students Sheila Tiu and Mahyar Moghtaderi placed second and fourth.
