AP Honor Roll Recognizes D219 Schools for 2025

Two schools from Niles Township High School District 219 have earned recognition from College Board’s 2025 Advanced Placement® Program School Honor Roll. Niles North High School received Gold distinction and Niles West High School received Silver distinction.

The Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools that earn this recognition must meet criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

“We want every D219 student to have access to challenging coursework that prepares them for life after high school, whether that’s college or career,” said D219 Superintendent Tom Moore. “These top spots show that more of our students are not only participating in AP classes, but they are succeeding academically.”

About 30% of schools nationwide are represented in the AP Honor Roll. Earlier this school year, Niles North High School and Niles West High School were ranked among the top high schools in Illinois and in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
