Hanan Almiladi has been named the Assistant Director of Special Education at Niles West, starting September 16, 2024. The Niles Township High School Board of Education approved her appointment at their September 10, 2024 meeting.
With more than 14 years of experience as a dedicated special education teacher, Hanan transitioned into leadership roles where she has made a significant impact in educational administration. She has served as state Executive Director of the Illinois Special Education Charter Cooperative and Director of Student Services at Aspira of Illinois Charter Schools. In her previous roles, she has successfully managed special education programs, bilingual education, and student services across multiple schools.
Hanan is known for her strong commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and her collaborative approach to enhancing support systems for both students and educators. Her proven ability to lead with compassion and drive initiatives that promote equity makes her an invaluable addition to the D219 team.
