District 219 named Sarah Long as the Associate Principal for Curriculum at Niles North High School, starting July 1, 2025. The Niles Township High School Board of Education approved the appointment at their April 7, 2025 meeting.


Sarah Long currently serves as the Director of Student Services at Evanston Township High School (ETHS), a position she has held since 2023. Prior to this role, she held various leadership positions at Champaign Central High School, including Associate Principal, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Students. A former Special Education teacher, Sarah brings a wealth of experience to her role along with a passion for improving student outcomes.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She also holds a Master of Science in Educational Policy, Organization, and Leadership from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in the same field. 

Sarah is also a dedicated co-sponsor of the Asian Heritage Alliance at ETHS.
