D219 Names Director of Niles Central for 2025-26

District 219 named Brian Weems as the Director of Niles Central, starting July 1, 2025. The Niles Township High School Board of Education approved the appointment at their April 7, 2025 meeting.


Brian Weems is a dedicated educational leader committed to enhancing student learning and building meaningful partnerships with families and the community. He joins D219 from the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization, where he has served in two different principal positions over the past 10 years. 

Brian graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU) as a special education teacher and earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Governors State University. He also completed additional coursework at St. Francis to earn his Director of Special Education endorsement and he is currently pursuing an Ed.S. in Educational Administration at NIU.

Brian has worked closely with school and district-wide teams to provide specialized education for students with a wide range of disabilities. With expertise in trauma-informed practices, crisis prevention, and instructional leadership, he is committed to ensuring high academic rigor for all students, equipping them with the tools they need to achieve their post-secondary goals.

Brian is excited for the opportunities ahead to enhance student success and outcomes and looks forward to leading as the Director of Niles Central.
