District 219 named Sarah Kowalski as the Director of Finance and Operations, starting July 1, 2025. The Niles Township High School Board of Education approved the appointment at their April 7, 2025 meeting.


Sarah Kowalski is a dedicated professional with over seven years of experience at Niles Township High School District 219. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for educational administration, all while completing her MBA and earning her Chief School Business Official (CSBO) certification. She began working with the District as an Executive Assistant and after completing her MBA and CSBO, she advanced to Director of Operations and then Interim Director of Business Services.

Before joining District 219, Sarah gained valuable experience during an internship at Walt Disney World, where she honed her skills in customer service and operations management. Additionally, she spent years traveling the country, teaching change management and collaborating on projects across all industries. Her career also includes extensive experience in project management and years in quality assurance.

With a solid foundation in customer service, change management and school finance, Sarah has continuously applied these skills to support the district’s growth and success, balancing operational efficiency with strategic vision.
