District 219 named Jaclyn Sanabria as the Assistant Director of Transition Services, starting July 1, 2025. The Niles Township High School Board of Education approved the appointment at their April 7, 2025 meeting.

A proud Niles West alum and lifelong Lincolnwood resident, Jaclyn Sanabria’s deep-rooted connection to the community fuels her passion for supporting students and families. Her journey in education began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from DePaul University, but her heart led her to teaching. She went on to earn a Master’s in Secondary Education, a Master’s in Special Education (LBS1), and a Principal Leadership degree with a Director of Special Education endorsement from National Louis University.

For more than 14 years, Jaclyn has been a dedicated member of District 219, serving in various capacities, including a long-term substitute, paraeducator, special education teacher in the life skills program, and vocational coordinator for the Bridges Adult Transition Center. Jaclyn has played a key role in developing vocational learning labs and strengthening community partnerships to create real-world opportunities for students.

Jaclyn is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, expanding vocational opportunities, and ensuring that students of all abilities are equipped with the skills and confidence they need to succeed beyond the classroom. She is excited and honored to take on this new role and looks forward to collaborating with families, educators, and community partners to build strong, student-centered programs that empower every learner.

Beyond her professional dedication, Jaclyn is a proud wife and mother to three children who keep her busy with soccer tournaments, games, and practices.
