D219 Launches ParentSquare to Strengthen Family Engagement

Niles Township High School District 219 launched a unified communication platform, ParentSquare, beginning in the 2026-27 school year. The platform simplifies how schools connect with families and support more consistent, inclusive engagement. With one place for messages, news, updates and more, the district is consolidating multiple tools into a single, easy-to-use system for families and staff.

The goal of D219 is to improve how families receive information, making it more accessible, timely, and responsive to different needs. The streamlined system will be used for districtwide announcements, school communications, classroom updates, and emergency alerts, ensuring that families receive consistent, accurate information in one convenient location.

ParentSquare supports meaningful engagement across the D219’s diverse community, making communication more consistent and accessible for every family. Content is automatically translated into families’ preferred languages, with options to receive updates by email, app, voice, or text.

With the launch of ParentSquare, D219 joins a growing number of districts nationwide adopting integrated communication strategies to better connect with families and support student success.
