Niles Township High School District 219 (D219) launched its new strategic plan, approved at the February 3, 2026 Board of Education meeting. Months of data analysis, community feedback and committee meetings helped shape the plan that will guide the district’s efforts over the next five years. By reflecting on multiple perspectives, D219 outlined a roadmap to ensure the district is setting a clear path forward.
Grounded in student success
The D219 strategic planning process was designed to establish a clear, coherent, and shared direction for the district. The process was facilitated by the district’s consulting partner, District Management Group. D219 focused on identifying a limited set of strategic priorities and measurable goals that will guide decision-making, align resources, and drive continuous improvement to support student success.
“We worked diligently to include multiple perspectives and voices in the strategic planning process,” said Tom Moore, D219 Superintendent. “The shared vision for our future reflects the dedication of our school community and what we can accomplish together.”
Driving continuous improvement
Implementation of the plan starts this academic year, as D219 develops initiatives and action steps. Each D219 department will align their work to the strategic priorities and staff will track progress through measurable outcomes. D219 will also provide ongoing opportunities for engagement and feedback. Updates will be available online.
