Niles Township High Schools
Our Schools
Four schools make up Niles Township High School District 219:
- Niles West High School is a comprehensive four-year public school serving approximately 2,500 students. The following middle schools send students to Niles West: Lincoln Junior High School, Fairview South School, Lincoln Hall Middle School, Culver Middle School, and Park View School.
- Niles North High School is a comprehensive four-year public school serving approximately 2,100 students. The following middle schools send students to Niles North: Old Orchard Junior High, Oliver McCracken Middle School, East Prairie School, and Golf Middle School.
- Niles Central High School provides intellectual, physical, emotional, and social supports to students. Niles Central embraces a strength-based approach to focus on the needs of students who are eligible for the special education services.
- Bridges Transition Center provides special education services to young adult learners as they transition away from the high school setting. Community-based instruction focuses on independent living, personal management, recreation and leisure, and vocational training.
Our Students and Families
We serve more than 4,600 students and over 70 languages are spoken in the homes of our students and families. About 60% of families are multilingual, indicating they speak a primary language other than English. The most common languages spoken are Urdu, Spanish, Assyrian and Arabic. D219 is the first public school district in the nation to approve an Assyrian language and culture curriculum.
