Parent and Family Resources
Student Assistance Program
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) coordinates school and community resources to assist families and students in our district. We offer a wide range of support options that address academic, mental health, and recreation needs.
Communication with parents/caregivers is a critical link with regard to this partnership. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about resources in our community or if you are concerned about your child and/or family for any reason (e.g., drugs/alcohol, mental health, academics). We can work together to determine appropriate school and community programs.
District 219 students are able to easily access student and teacher tutoring across academic domains and work on assignments in one of our fully equipped computer centers.
Student Assistance Program Based School Groups
Any student can participate in a group listed below. Referrals may be made by a parent, teacher, student’s friend, or staff member. Referrals can remain anonymous. Students may also refer themselves to any one of these groups. Groups meet once a week with a rotating schedule. Students are responsible for the work that they miss. Group facilitators are certified school social workers, psychologists and/or counselors.
