Enrollment and Registrars

Enrollment Steps

  1. If you have not yet established residency, please call District 219’s Residency Office at 847-626-3994 for an initial meeting.  You will be instructed what to bring for this meeting.

  1. Once your residency has been established, you will receive a packet from residency which includes the Registrar’s business card.  Please call that number to set up a time to meet with the Registrar.

  1. When you meet with the Registrar, you will need to bring in your packet of completed paperwork.  Other items you should bring are:

    1. An unofficial transcript or official, if possible, from all former high schools.

    2. If your child last attended an Illinois Public School, you will need to bring in the Illinois State Transfer Form.  If he  or she attended an out of state high school or parochial/private school, you will need to bring a letter of good standing from that school.

    3. A copy of your child’s high school physical.

    4. If your child is in special education, you will need to bring in the most recent IEP.

    5. If your child is coming in as a freshman, you will need to bring in his/her 8th Grade Diploma and 8th Grade Report Card.

  1. Your child will be taking a 2 hour (minimum) placement test unless he or she has a PSAT8-9, PLAN or ACT test.  If your child is to be in the EL program, he or she will be tested by the EL department.

  1. Once the testing has been completed and scored, you and your child will receive an appointment time with a counselor.  It is highly recommended that both you and your child attend.

  1. If you are registering during the school year, your child will start the day after you both meet with the counselor.
