PDSI Committee

What is PDSI?

The Professional Development for School Improvement Committee (PDSI) was established in 2000 to empower and encourage teachers to improve their skills and practices for excellent teaching, with opportunities to grow, share, and learn.

The scope of the PDSI Committee’s responsibilities includes the following areas:

  • Technology training
  • New teacher support
  • School improvement initiatives
  • Department improvement initiatives
  • School board initiatives
  • Illinois state mandates
  • Professional development learning opportunities

The PDSI Committee, which meets every other month (or as needed) and is governed by an operations handbook, includes teachers, NTFT Executive Board members, administrators, and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
