CSSI Committee

What is the CSSI?

The Curriculum Standards for School Improvement (CSSI) Committee was established in 2000 to propose, research, evaluate, recommend, plan, and implement changes to the District 219 curriculum, including relevant board policies and administrative procedures.

The scope of the CSSI Committee’s responsibilities includes curriculum development and assessment models, grade weights, grading standards, graduation requirements, district transcript standards, new courses, course deletions, course changes, and policy and procedure changes. The CSSI Committee, which meets monthly and is governed by an operations handbook, includes teachers, students, parents, NTFT Executive Board members, administrators, and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
