APES Students Keep Beaches Beautiful

Twelve students from Ms. Suzy Trzaskus and Mr. Mike Beeftink’s Advanced Placement Environmental Science classes took advantage of this past weekend’s lovely weather to clear over 7,000 grams or 15 pounds of trash and garbage from one of Evanston’s beaches

The students came to school at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 8 and cleaned trash and debris from South Boulevard Beach in Evanston until noon.  They were hard working and supportive of each other. It was a gloriously sunny day and all the beach patrons were very appreciative of the kindness and caring of our Niles North students.
